Privacy Policy

AIX Automation Lab, a division of AIXTEK, Inc. in San Mateo, California, runs aixautomationlabs.com. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed past.
Information We Collect
We collect information you give us through our forms. The site has a Contact form, an AVA product-inquiry form, and an AI Readiness Assessment.
Across these forms we collect your name, work email, company, role, an optional phone number, and any free-text message you write. The AI Readiness Assessment also collects your company size and your multiple-choice and Likert answers.
- Contact and inquiry data: name, work email, company, role, optional phone, and your message.
- Assessment data: the above, plus company size and your answers to the diagnostic questions.
- Newsletter opt-in: if you check the optional box in the Assessment, we record that you want to receive our monthly Lab Notes newsletter.
- Technical and usage data: standard analytics about how the site is used, described in the Cookies and Analytics section below.
We do not collect information you do not provide. If you book a call on our scheduling page, the details you enter there are handled by Microsoft, not stored by us, as explained in Third-Party Services We Use below.
How We Use Your Information
We use what you submit to do the thing you asked us to do and to follow up about it. Nothing more exotic than that.
- Respond to your inquiry or message.
- Generate your AI Readiness scorecard and email it to you as a PDF.
- Send a confirmation receipt for your submission.
- Track the lead internally so we can follow up.
- Send the monthly Lab Notes newsletter, but only if you opted in.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use it for advertising or cross-site tracking.
If you opted into Lab Notes, every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@aixautomationlabs.com to stop receiving it.
Cookies and Analytics
We use analytics to understand which pages are useful, plus a few small cookies and browser-storage values to keep the site working consistently. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- Plausible Analytics: privacy-friendly, cookieless site analytics.
- Vercel Web Analytics: cookieless performance and traffic analytics.
- Google Analytics 4: usage analytics that sets analytics cookies in your browser.
- ab_variant cookie: records which version of a page you saw during an A/B test so your experience stays consistent. It lasts about 90 days.
- aix-theme: your light or dark theme preference, kept in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: our spam and bot protection, which may set a cookie to confirm you are a real person.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the analytics cookies, the site still works; we just see less about how it is used.
Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. There is no common standard for how sites should respond to it, so we do not act on it specifically. We do not track you across other websites regardless of the signal.
Third-Party Services We Use
We run this site with a small set of service providers. Each one handles a specific job and only receives the data it needs to do that job. These are our subprocessors.
- Vercel: hosting, content delivery, serverless functions, and cookieless Web Analytics.
- SMTP2GO: delivery of transactional email (receipts and your Assessment scorecard) and the Lab Notes newsletter.
- Upstash: a serverless datastore where we store form submissions with a timestamp for follow-up.
- Cloudflare: Turnstile, our spam and bot protection on forms.
- Google: Analytics 4, which sets analytics cookies.
- Plausible Analytics: cookieless site analytics.
- Microsoft: Bookings (Microsoft 365), embedded on our scheduling page. Scheduling details you enter there are handled by Microsoft. We may pass UTM parameters to attribute where a booking came from.
Each provider has its own privacy practices. We pick vendors we are willing to stand behind, but their handling of data is governed by their own terms.
How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we never have.
We share information only with the service providers listed above, and only so they can perform their function on our behalf, such as sending your scorecard email or storing your submission.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, such as a valid legal request, or to protect our rights, safety, or property. We would limit any such disclosure to what is actually required.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as we need it to handle your inquiry and the relationship that follows from it.
We also keep records as long as needed to meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations. When we no longer need your information for these purposes, we delete it or stop actively using it.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner. See Your Privacy Rights below for how to make that request.
Your Privacy Rights (including California / CCPA)
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make any of these requests, email hello@aixautomationlabs.com and tell us what you want done.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you specific rights. We honor them.
- Right to know and access: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to delete: request that we delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct: request that we fix inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing: you have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.
- Right to non-discrimination: we will not treat you differently or deny you service for exercising any of these rights.
We verify your request against the information we already hold, which usually means confirming the email address you used. You can also have an authorized agent make a request on your behalf. We aim to respond within the timeframes California law requires.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information you give us, including limiting who can access it and relying on vendors that secure data in transit and at rest.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and we will not claim otherwise.
If you have a security concern about this site, email hello@aixautomationlabs.com and we will look into it.
Children's Privacy
This site is meant for businesses and public-sector teams. It is not directed to children under 16.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, email hello@aixautomationlabs.com and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the site changes or as the law requires. When we do, we revise the last updated date shown at the top of this page.
This version was last updated on May 28, 2026. If we make a significant change, we will make a reasonable effort to flag it. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
